4 ingredient guacamole recipe (Video)

by Kayla Magazine

Today I’m sharing my 4 ingredient guacamole recipe. I have used this vegan guacamole recipe for years and it is always a hit. People say it’s the most delicious guacamole they’ve ever had! It’s mild because I don’t like spicy food. If you want spiciness, just add 1 or 2 minced serrano or jalapeño chilis.

This vegan guacamole recipe is not just healthy. It is so yummy. Right Monica? Monica is my cousin. She asked me to share this recipe with her, so she could make it for her boyfriend Thomas. They are so cute. Enjoy your time together, you two. I made a video for you, so you can watch it.

Let’s start with the ingredients.

The key ingredient in this vegan guacamole recipe is ripe avocados

Can you imagine that over 3 billion pounds of avocados are consumed each year here in the U.S. That’s over 9 pounds per person. Avocados contain nearly 20 vitamins and minerals: C, E, K, and B-6, as well as riboflavin, niacin, folate, pantothenic acid, magnesium, and potassium. Plus, they have lutein, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids. Avocados are high in fat, protein, and carbohydrates. Healthy fats are good for your skin, heart and immune system.

Lime

The second main ingredient in this simple guacamole recipe I can’t imagine this dip without is lime. Limes are a rich source of vitamin C. The limonoids in limes destroy carcinogens, create an alkaline environment in the body, wash away toxins and prevent inflammation. They also improve digestion, prevent cancer, kidney stones.

Tomatoes

Did you know that tomatoes neutralize aging and degenerative processes such as oxidative stress, cancer, atherosclerosis, cardiovascular diseases and the accumulation of free radicals? Antioxidants are essential to fight free radicals. And the number of antioxidants in tomatoes is really high – 1 kg of fresh product contains about 500 mg of various antioxidants: 160-240 mg of vitamin C, 10-200 mg of carotenoids (total), 30-50 mg of phenolic acids, about 10 mg of vitamin E, 20-60 mg of flavonoids, 0.1-0.4 mg of folate, as well as small amounts of minerals: potassium, selenium, zinc and copper.

4 Ingredient Guacamole Recipe

I created this 4 ingredient guacamole recipe myself, but it’s possible that it will be similar to all the other guacamole recipes. I just like to experiment with food and discover new tastes. It’s such a fun thing. Those who tasted it, ate it all and wanted more. The trick to making the perfect vegan guacamole is using avocados that are just the right amount of ripeness. If it’s not ripe enough, the avocado will be stone-hard and tasteless. Check for ripeness by gently pressing the outside of the avocado.

The word guacamole is originally from Mexico, where avocados have been grown for thousands of years. As we mix avocado, lime and tomatoes together, we get the healthiest dish full of vitamins and minerals. Ladies and Gentlemen, let me present you Her Majesty Guacamole. Here’s what you need.

4 ingredient guacamole recipe:

  • 3 fully ripe avocados
  • 1 lime
  • 1-2 tomatoes
  • pinch of salt
  • a handful of pitted black olives

How to make 4 ingredient guacamole recipe:

Cut the avocado in half. Remove the seed. Take a knife and cut the inside of the avocado. Scoop out the flesh with a spoon. Squeeze lime juice on top, add some salt. Mash avocado and mix well everything.

Mix chopped tomatoes, olives, and avocados together.

Adjust to taste. Voila. The most delicious guacamole in the world! Eat it with nachos, tacos or tortilla chips. Super easy, yummy, healthy vegan guacamole recipe. Made with just 4 ingredients. Enjoy!

P.S. If you want you can add red onion. But if you are intending to kiss someone, you should just skip it. It is perfect without them.

How to store vegan guacamole

Like potatoes, avocados start to oxidize and turn brown once they’ve been cut. The acid in the lime juice you add to guacamole helps slow it down. And if you store the guacamole properly, you can easily make it a few hours ahead if you are preparing for a party. To keep the guacamole from turning an unpleasant looking shade of brown, it is necessary to keep it away from the air. Just cover the bowl with plastic wrap, press out any air and make sure that the surface has no contact with the air. Keep it cool. I like it better when I eat it right away after I make it.

Tips & Notes

  • You can use this 4 ingredient guacamole recipe when making Benedict’s eggs or Avocado toast. Just mash the avocado, add some salt and lime juice.
  • If you want to try sweet and sour guacamole version, try guacamole seasoning with mangoes, pinneaple and agave syrup. Enjoy!
